[Lebenswissen.org] Online workshop: Postgenomic Determinisms: Environmental Narratives after the Century of the Gene, Ruhr University Bochum, March 25–26, 2021

This online workshop focuses on new postgenomic trends towards environmental determinism. It aims to address the conceptual foundations and theoretical presumptions of different forms of strong causal influences on organisms and human bodies. This workshop will bring together scholars from history and philosophy of science, social sciences, biologists and activists who have expertise in postgenomic trends towards determinism from philosophical, anthropological, socio-political, and historical perspectives.
